Fever speaks to everyone with her nauseous mix of comedy, drama, and struggles of everyday life. Her scorching rap style blisters with sassiness, bravado, and street credibility. Fever affirms her readiness to step into the spotlight with her upcoming album “Single Black Female”.
Fever proved her rap readiness at the Pyramid Club in Manhattan, NY, beating out 27 female rap groups and solo artists to wear the first place crown. Working with rap legend Queen Latifah, and featured as the only female artist in the rap group “The Athletes” as well as “The Unit”, she was able to nurture her skills and develop her talent. As the Queen’s protégé, Fever created a jingle for CoverGirl, went on the Unit Tour, consisting of 14 radio stations and 8 Television Shows from Miami to Washington, and had featured cameos in 100% Hater Proof video and Go Ahead video. Fever released the 1# hit single “Peanut Butta” under Universal Music Group. That single got Fever shows opening up for top artist such as Juelz Santana, Joe Buddens, Dougie Fresh, Cuba Gooding and Rick Ross to name a few. In 2007 she co-executive produced, recorded, engineered, rapped, wrote, mixed and mastered the non-profit promotional album Cease Fire All-stars (www.myspace.com/ceasefireallstarsnj) for the Cease Fire Operation in Newark, NJ sponsored by(Rutgers, T.E.E.M. Gateway, Juvenile Justice, Police Institute-Rutgers/Newark and Safer Cities Partnership). With a combined effort Fever also spearheads the all female empowerment organization “Sister Strive”, a social awareness and networking club for women in the industry. She also supported Mt. Vernon’s Mayor Ernie Davis during his term, as the MC for “Ben Gordon Day” and “The Arts on Third” street festival with co-host Dr. Bob Lee (WBLS). Fever promotes her own shows and recently won a lawsuit judgment that aired on The People’s Court against one of the Venue owners who had very bad business ethics. Fever is currently working with Hazel Brown aka Cortell Tappan; who she acknowledges as her r&b protégé on the F.U. (Females United) Mixtape.
Fever credits her musical background to her often turbulent childhood. The grand daughter of a pastor, she grew up in a large Christian home filled with singers and musicians. It was there that she discovered she too was blessed with many talents. Engineering, Producing, Writing & Performing is just a brief synopsis of what this one woman army can do. Armed with her affable personality, Scarlet wants to make her stamp on hip-hop, R&B and gospel, by moving the music in her direction rather than just fitting in. Scarlet Fever’s upcoming album, (S.B.F) Single Black Female is sure to thrill with original beats, feverish flows and real talk raps.
