Schultz: Artist Biography The self-proclaimed
"What the Hip-Hop Game Wants, Needs & Misses" – The Mayor… The Hope... was conceived in Killeen, Texas and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey. He had been beforehand nurtured by 'absent niceties' that typifies poverty stricken environments - characteristics of social oppression - by the time Jeffrey L. Owens, II was 10 years old. It was during this time that he was already deeply accustomed to being socially & psychologically affected by the grim realities of his currently - incarcerated father beginning to serve 31 years for murder and his formerly-drug-addicted mother battling with the beast of heroin; and domestic violence in their household.
By age 13, Schultz had by now been devoted to performing the genre of Hip Hop alongside three of his junior high school childhood friends. He was the co-founder of their lineup called Xplosion. During a series of talent shows he was known to be the aggressively-hyper-member of the group who brought lyrical fire. Whether Xplosion was performing their fan dedication classic, "My Peeps" or their revered pleaser, "Too Bad", Schultz remained enthusiastic about leaping off stage into roaring crowds of hardened and frenzied teens, as he uttered his lyrical messages. Early on, his style was symptomatic of a juvenile established Hip Hop artist in which fans familiar with the lineup of Xplosion loved to come out and see in action, alongside his youthful urban talented counterparts.
Continuously, due to his parents' ill- fated consequences fostered by repression his upbringing primarily took place in the West End side of Plainfield on the seamy Liberty Street, under the guardianship of his deceased grandmother, whom resided in the Liberty Village low income housing units positioned across the street from the West End Gardens Housing Projects. Much of his lyrical authority originates from living in this poorest 4th Ward of the city where the aesthetics incorporated the gritty authenticity of being wallowed in drugs and Black-on Black criminal conduct in many of the surrounding areas. He, too, would at some point find himself having run-ins with the penal system after interrupted dreams and failed attempts to enter the Hip Hop game. His memory of forming Xplosion deepens his practical knowledge that rapping was more than just a childhood fad.
Nowadays, Schultz is the father of a son, and the featured artist and founder of a prevailing New Jersey underground imprint—Street Certified Music Group. Now in his twenties he is more focused on ascertaining himself at the top of the game in and outside of Jersey. First, however, he is determined and self assured that its time to proceed with his untapped potential by taking it to another level. Already, Schultz has had numerous feature spots on other artists works; and been a performer on a 2006 underground smash hit mix -tape referred to as "Cocky, Confident, and Conceited". Previous works also include (as a solo artist) his motivational track, "The Hope". This song introduced listeners (unfamiliar with Schultz as a struggling artist) to his versatility. He has also filmed video productions for self written tracks entitled, “Can’t Stop Huslin” filmed on Liberty Street in 2008 & “I’m Dope” was filmed in the latter part of 2009 in and around his Plainfield hometown with cameo appearances of his friends and neighboring citizens…
At present, he has a mix tape on the street named, “Street Certification”—where a free download could be found on the website: datpiff.com—just type in Schultz in the search area after clicking on the mix tape tab. Lyrically, it personifies why he considers himself -- The Mayor… The Hope... He is also working on his mix tape, “The Mayor” due out in the summer of 2011 which will feature tracks that relate to the next stage of his life as the self proclaimed Voice of the Streets… hence, The Mayor…

Scarlet Fever
Female rappers beware! A new epidemic is sweeping through plaguing the masses with ill delivery, infectious beats, and contagious personality. Scarlet Fever, know as Fever, The entertainment industry’s most underrated female Rapper, ravishes with witty wordplay and cunning antics, staples of her diverse style. The New Jersey native’s ability to entertain a crowd of any genre, young or old, is her most outstanding quality.
Dezert Eez
Dezert Eez formed at Western Michigan University, located in Kalamazoo, Mi. All three members had known each other since 2003, but O’nill (Jerron Mosley) and 5-Star (Mike Williams) were the only 2 members of the group at the time. They performed on a local hip-hop circuit for a year before adding Mike’s cousin Nivek (Kevin Williams) to the team in 2004. The trio worked together, during a watered down rap era, with a common goal of the resurgence of underground hip hop.
The name Dezert Eez (Desert Eagle) is symbolic of a weapon created in Israel and then later brought to the states to be manufactured much like the Original Man. Their first recording together was "Declaration of War,” a rugged, up-close look at street and global affairs, which set the tone for much of their early material.
Over the next few months, they developed enough of a repertoire to start performing live outside the area, and quickly earned a following. When the group made its music available for download on the Internet, a substantial buzz built outside of Michigan, and it eventually earned them a opening slot for Wu Tangs Capadonna tour in 2004.
In early 2005, Dezert Eez released its first mixtape, The Realness, which won widespread critical praise that focused especially on the group’s lyrics. The buzz helped them earn a raft of high-profile outside gigs, including shows with KRS-1, Dead Prez, Slum Village and a mini tour with Wu Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck.
Dezert Eez leapt to a bigger stage in 2008 when 5-Star teamed up with C-Rayz Walz, Killah Priest (Wu Tang), and Bronze Nazareth (also Wu Tang) on Indie heavyweight Babygrande Records to form The Almighty. The album also featured hip hop legends Canibus, Keith Murray, and Planet Asia. In late 2009, as Dezert Eez was finishing up their next release, Ghettobox, they joined up.
