Sometimes, having a "Hollywood Connection" isn't always a good thing.

Actor Sam Jones III, who starred in the TV show Smallville, found that out the hard way Wednesday when he was sentenced to one year in prison for conspiring to sell more than 10,000 doses of oxycodone, a painkiller known on the streets as "hillbilly heroin."

Newt Gingrich said Wednesday morning he's not pulling out of the race for the Republican nomination for President.

Speaking at an Atlanta Press Club breakfast, Gingrich dismissed the notion that staffers' departures are indicative of a troubled campaign. 

"The fact is, campaigns go up and down," Gingrich said. "I'm not running to talk about the nuances of campaigning."
