2006-2009 Byron Wilson quickly adjusted to the defensive end position from playing linebacker very well. He played two years as a defensive end/linebacker Alabama A&M and accumulated 15 sacks, 1 td for 52 yards,4 fumble recoveries, 40 tackles for loss, 8 pass break ups, and 70 tackles.
2009 He was honored with the Iron Dog Award his senior season as well as named America's top HBCU player. HBCU has a competition where the Top Black college players go thru a serious of test drills and ability test on and off the field to see who is the best and top HBCU athlete - Byron Wilson won the competition. Byron Wilson is a great athlete with a lot of ability. He has a nose for the ball and is a play maker that can play a lot of various positions such as middle linebacker, defensive end, defensive tackle, and outside linebacker.
