If It Doesn't Make Since It's Not True!

Saturday, 10 March 2012 21:55
If It Doesn't Make Since It's Not True!

To believe or not to believe, that is the question. Do you believe none of what you hear and half of what you see or do you trust in someone until they prove to be untrustworthy? When you hear about the next celebrity or politician in the media is your view point instant or do you do more research? Do you believe most people are straight and narrow or do you believe most people are full of it?

Join the Live In The Vocal Booth team as we discuss truth and lies! Do you go by the mantra "Believe non of what you hear and only half of what you see" Call in 646-233-1302 or chat live with our chat rebels. Let us know your thoughts.

What Are You Scared Of? What Are Your Fears & Phobias? Are They Controlling Your Life?| Special Guests: JoAnne Pajunas and Cassius Ali

Tonight on the Live In The Vocal Booth show we have a two fold discussion. First we discuss Bed Bugs and control/prevention. Followed by  Fears and Phobias! Do you have any?, If so are they controlling your life, holding you back from accomplishing your goals or dreams? Get live in the vocal booth and let us know!

"My arm is itching! Where did I get this bump from?" "OMG!" "I've got BED BUGS!!!" Or is it just a detergent allergy? Or did I get it from my friends house? These are all questions and worries that some people bring to themselves. So tonight the LIVB team tackles 2 subjects under 1 topic, "WHAT ARE YOUR FEARS AND PHOBIAS? ARE THEY CONTROLLING YOUR LIFE? The 1st hour, we discuss the world of pest control and the phobias people have over bed bugs, rodents, wild animals, bees etc etc. We have a guest tonight from Horizon Pest Control. Quality Assurance inspector JoAnne Pajunas will tell us about and give answers to questions about all those scary bugs and rodents that may be invading your home and driving you insane!

The 2nd hour we talk about what are your phobias? What makes them a phobia to you? Is your phobia a mental thing or a physical thing? Is it unhealthy? How far will you go to make sure your phobia doesn't get you? Hmmm, I don't know. You might be driving yourself insane! Let's find out together TONIGHT LIVE IN THE VOCAL BOOTH!!

Special Guest: Quality Assurance Inspector JoAnne Pajunas

With a career in pest control that started in 1986, JoAnne Pajunas is one of the best at what she does, which is pest control! She is New Jersey Licensed in Categories 7A - 7B - 13   L since 1986. Special Guest: Author Cassius Ali

Cassius started writing in High school where he wrote plays, won speech contests and became one of the editors on the year book staff. Later, he wrote two books of his own for Barlow Elementary School in Plainfield, NJ, while studying at the George St. play house.

Cassius also wrote a number of shows for the children of Barlow School and represented the school for city wide P T O two years in a row. Since, then Cassius has gone on to writing commercials, stories, for New York projects and more.

In March of 2012 Cassius came out with one of two books he plans to release this year. The first is a poetry book called “The Last Word”.  He chose poetry to start because he believes if you can bring words to life in a poem, you can do the same in a story. Which is why the second book, is a story book with three stories in one.  There are two bullying stories, one from the perspective of the bully and the other from the perspective of the one being bullied. The last story is about long term relationships and some of the things that can or have happened in our lives.

Does Size Matter?

Saturday, 03 March 2012 21:05
Does Size Matter?

Penis size is not the final determining factor in a man’s ability to satisfy a woman or enjoy sex. The two of the most sexually sensitive areas for a woman, the clitoris and the G-spot, are both easily reached and aroused. "The G-spot is only one-third up inside the vaginal barrel," "For women who tend to be G-spot oriented, a small or short penis can do the job, and the G-spot can produce ecstatic pleasure."

Some women really dislike the idea of a large penis and may be frightened by one that is too long. Some women are much more impressed by the thickness of a penis, rather than its length. This is because some females like the sense of feeling stretched round the entrance to the vagina – so if a guy is quite broad at the base of his penis, this can feel very exciting and satisfying to such women. Each woman needs different size because vagina vary in size as well.

Let's Get down to the bottom of "Does Size Matter" this Satuday w/ Relationship Coach Sadie......

The Fight For Real Love - When The Love Is Not Genuine!

The Fight For Real Love - When The Love Is Not Genuine!

Join Relationship Coach Sadie tonight on the "Let's Get It On w/Relationship Coach Sadie" show. 9-10pm every Saturday on www.bks1radio.com. Tonight's topic "The Fight for Real Love" When the love is not genuine. Join the experience..........

"The Fight for Real Love"

"Romantic love has the intensity, engagement and sexual chemistry that [the 'falling in love' phase] has, minus the obsessive component."

Genuine love nurtures an empathic connection to self and other that allows both partners in a couple relationship to grow a compassionate understanding of the personal value each partner brings to their life.

A sense of one's value cannot be given by another, however. It is an inner quality that is fostered within self, a skill that must be learned, more often the hard way, if at all, throughout the course of a relationship.

This quality is a prerequisite to becoming a mature giver in your relationship. How else can a partner give one another what each most yearns - a secure shared connection with the other, in which they are also seen and valued for the unique person they are. This idea is covered by the following:

IS FACEBOOK A RELATIONSHIP KILLER?

Saturday, 25 February 2012 14:12
IS FACEBOOK A RELATIONSHIP KILLER?

According to a new survey by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, one in five divorces involve Facebook. An amazing 80 per cent of divorce lawyers have also reported a spike in the number of cases that use social media for evidence of cheating. Facebook was by far the biggest offender, with 66 per cent of lawyers citing it as the primary source of evidence in a divorce case. MySpace followed with 15 per cent, Twitter at 5 per cent and other choices lumped together at 14 per cent.

Flirty messages and photographs found on Facebook are increasingly being cited as proof of unreasonable behavior or irreconcilable differences. Many cases revolve around social media users who get back in touch with old flames they hadn’t heard from in many years. Facebook also opens a the door a lot of spying, stalking, and  jealousy-driven acts. It seems the new social network jargon is developing with words such as Facestalking. Now Facebook has been branded by some as a relationship killer.

Tune into "Let's Get It On w/Relationship Coach Sadie" this Sat to discuss and find out how to keep facebook from ruining your relationship.

Live In The Vocal Booth| Being Judgemental - A State of Superior Airs or Self Hate? Artist Review| Marvin Sapp - I Win| Special Guest J. Kingdom

Live In The Vocal Booth| Being Judgemental - A State of Superior Airs or Self Hate? Artist Review| Marvin Sapp - I Win| Special Guest J. Kingdom

Artist Review: Marvin Sapp

Marvin Sapp was introduced to the gospel community by Fred Hammond as a six year member of the vocal group Commissioned. "I am a preacher - called by God - who happens to sing," is the way he defines his ministry - which was given its official blessing upon his receiving of the Doctor of Divinity Degree from Aenon Bible College and the Doctor of Ministry Degree from Friends International Christian University. Sapp’s previous releases as a solo artist are the self-titled Marvin Sapp (his solo debut for Word Records – 1996); Grace & Mercy: Live (1997); Nothing Else Matters (1999); I Believe (his 2002 Verity debut); Diary of a Psalmist (2003); Be Exalted (2005) and Thirsty (2007).

When he isn’t spreading the word of God through over 200 preaching and speaking engagements a year, Sapp ministers at The Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, where he is senior pastor. By 2012, he hopes to have built a 1,500 seat sanctuary connecting to “FLC.” His ultimate goal: to encourage Believers to elevate their level of worship and praise.

Tonight’s Topic: Being Judgmental- A State of Superior Airs or A State of Self-hate?

Have you ever encountered a  person that can just point out everything you do wrong or are struggling with?  Often times this person could be a friend, family member or a coworker.  This individual may have a critical spirit or a genuine desire to help you improve your short comings.  Whatever the reason good or bad how do you feel when they approach you?  Are you able to receive the criticism?  Do you see their short comings and complexly reject the whole encounter as hypocrisy.  Could it be the very thing the person is trying to correct in you is the thing they despise in themselves?

Tonight the ‘Live in the Vocal Booth Team” will discusses being Judgmental and how it can effects all involved..

Special Guest: J. Kingdom (aka Pastor Michael J.T. Fisher)

J. Kingdom became the Pastor of the Greater Zion Church Family at the young age of 26! Over the years, he has become known throughout the community and abroad for his ability to reach and reform troubled youth and young adults. Mothers, fathers and the many Grandparents’s who have been left to care for their teen grand children often call upon him to help re-direct their troubled youth. Fisher has taken the once small Church in Compton from approximately 400 members to more than 4500! That’s huge in COMPTON!

The Greater Zion Church Family is located in Compton, CA and is literally nestled in between two rivalry gang territories. Fisher has experienced great success in changing/saving the lives of many of them by spending time with them, counseling, listening and providing a platform for them to express themselves through the arts. Fisher believes that there are so many young talented people who just need a platform to express their frustrations. They just want someone to hear and understand their plight and their struggles in hopes to finding a solution. And that is when Pastor Fisher does his best work, offering them the keys to a better life and a divinely intended destiny! He helps them find the “Champion” within themselves. (hence, the album title “Champion”).

In 2010, Fisher lead the Voices of Destiny, a 50+ voice choir to a highly publicized sweeping victory in the national competition of Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound Contest. People were AMAZED to find out that not only was this a group of talented young people but many of its members were reformed gang members, drug dealers, drug users, delinquent’s and high school drop outs. Many had spent time in juvenile hall or had been arrested at some point in their young lives. The win opened up doors for them that they could have never imagined and they are still riding that wave of success to date.

Some of the shows they have been featured on include: BET Celebration of Gospel, the Official Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, Pan African Film Festival, NBA All Star Gospel Brunch Children’s Mending Hearts w/Ben Affleck, DIVAS Simply Singing w/Sheryl Lee Ralph, the Today’s Show, NBC Nightly News, CNN, KTLA Black History Special, KTLA Morning News, Jet Magazine, EURweb, The Examiner.com and more.

The choir used the winnings from How Sweet the Sound to complete the first youth center in South Compton, CA and they remain extremely active in the community helping to rescue other youth’s and young adults from their toxic environments. They offer tutoring, counseling, STD testing and a place to belong with a large family that cares about every area of their lives!

Singer Derion Hall

Derion Hall, Originally from Dayton, Ohio, was raised in a musical family... yet had no idea that singing, writing, and entertaining would ultimately be his passion. Part military brat, part go-getter, Derion was no stranger to dedication and making big moves. In his teens he discovered that he too had a god-given musical ear and aptitude for singing, performing, and writing.

In the midst of determining his life path, his urge to entertain the masses dictated his next move. Armed with his natural talent and desire, he set off to New York City to pursue his dream..becoming a major recording artist.

While making his living as a fitness model, personal trainer and gym manager, Derion spent all his spare time writing and networking. He did a few "singing competition" tv show cattle calls and quickly learned that wasn't the route he wanted to go. He then tapped long- time family friend and producer Tyrice "Tyjamz" Jones to complete his musical vision.

That collaboration has resulted in the emergence of the real Derion Hall. The singer, dancer, writer, and entertainer. A fearless vibe that will make you dance, get you right at the club, catch the ladies, and get heads noddin! Come find out what we already know. Derion Hall. #BlessedAndHumble
