Amidst all the controversy over her “Man Down” video, Rihanna gained some praise this weekend from Gabrielle Union, who applauded the pop singer for getting people to talk about rape. Gabby just returned from D.C. earlier in the week where she attended the National Advistory Committee on Violence Against Women meetings.

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands native Wilma Ann crossed crystal blue waters to bless us with her dynamic vocal presence. Her music is at once romantic soul, funky, with an occasional hip-hop edge.

Rashanna holds a BA in Theatre from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the professional Acting and Film Training Program at the William Esper Studio in NY, NY. As a performer, she began her career competing as a singer in Hal Jackson's Talented Teens Pageant in which she won the County, State, and International levels upon her first try.
