Ambitious Women - Lazy Men| Special Guests: R&B Singer/Actor Christopher Williams and R&B Singer Patricia Mytime Featured
Topic: Ambitious Women - Lazy Men
In today's society women have aggressively moved into the work force and are now surpassing men into more ambitious achiever positions. Refusing to remain in the shadows of men, women are stepping up, stepping out and are unwilling to put their lives on hold. More women are actually taking over the financial responsibilities of their household and have elevated into successful careers. They are becoming the breadwinners and for some women the last thing they want to do is come home cook, do laundry and clean up the house.
So, where does this leave men? Are men becoming lazy? Is it a man's job to take care of the family and provide for their household financially? Are men becoming comfortable staying at home while women work? Are a lot of women getting tired of the lazy men syndrome?
Times have changed but are times changing for the better? Let's talk tonight at 11:00 pm est on Bks1radio.com O.W.W.H.H show.
Special Guest: Christopher Williams
Christopher Williams has a voice that is as rich as brewed coffee-full, robust, leaves you craving for more. Just like quality coffee- his music has a way of comforting you. Making you feel warm all over all the while energizing you for more. In a time when musical tastes are changing faster than ever, it is comforting to know that singers like Christopher Williams are never changing but evolving and just getting better with time.
Raised in the Bronx, NY. Christopher Williams attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in New York with his grandparents. While singing in the church choir his grandmother proclaimed what was already proven to be his God given gift -“This boy can Sing!”-and with those words would eventually prove to be prophetic for Williams and lead him into a full fledged music career.
In 1974, after watching an inspirational live performance of his aunt, legendary singer- Ella Fitzgerald performing with Count Basie and Frank Sinatra, Christopher Williams’ fate had been set. It was more than the feeling he had seeing his favorites such as The Jackson Five, Teddy Pendergrass and Aretha Franklin at the world-famous Apollo Theater with his mother and sister. This feeling was different, while sitting at the piano with Frank Sinatra and Count Basie that night, a young Williams felt- “Wow, This is so amazing! I want to do this one day.”
Before getting a record deal, Christopher Williams decided that if he was going to make entertainment a tangible career, he would put in real work and real effort to learn his craft -he enrolled in Purchase College in New York City- a performing arts school where he studied theater arts and acting.
Two years later, while still in school, Williams decided to try his hand at music. He recorded an impressive two song demo: Remember, with Amir and Royal Bayyan and I’m Your Present produced by Timmy Allen (who went on to produce artists such as Brittany Spears, Backstreet Boys and R. Kelly).
This demo led to Williams’ signing his first record deal with Geffen Records setting off the beginning of Williams’ success as a singer with the release of his first album Adventures in Paradise. Adventures in Paradise included the chart topping and unforgettable hits- Promises Promises and Talk to Myself.
In 1991 Christopher Williams streak of musical success continued with a move to Uptown Records and his sophomore album Changes. Williams topped the charts with four singles- All I See, Every Little Thing You Do, Come On and Go with Me and Dreamin. That same year, Williams had the opportunity to add acting to his growing list of successes and starred in the now cult classic, hip hop film- New Jack City, starring his Purchase College classmate- Wesley Snipes. The film opened, nationwide, to rave box office sales and reviews. It was official- Christopher Williams was a superstar!
As Christopher Williams matured and grew, as did the direction and style of the type of music he wanted to produce, so in 1995 Christopher Williams signed with Giant Records and recorded his third studio album- Not A Perfect Man which spawned the hit Dance 4 Me. In 2002, Williams recorded his fourth project- Real Men Do on his own label, August/Renegade Records.
Christopher Williams list of credits include producing and performing on the award winning and multi-platinum selling motion picture soundtracks- Jason’s Lyric, New Jack City, Butter, The Nutty Professor and Gun Men. Christopher Williams has starred in some of the most successful gospel stage plays to date- including Men Cry In The Dark, and The Clean Up Woman
To add even more fuel to the superstar flame that Williams wouldn’t let settle- in between plays and touring, Williams is recording his fifth studio release, much to the excitement of his millions of fans and followers. Hitting the studio with the likes of superstar producers like Ced Solo, Mike City, Da Internz, Carvin & Ivan and 9th Wonder is just another “day at the office” for Williams just another day of going above and beyond and taking no prisoners- giving his all still being “More than a Conqueror.”
Enter 2012 and Christopher Williams is still on top working hard as ever. Christopher Williams has remained humbled yet hungry to continuously perfect his craft musically and theatrically.
Special Guest: Patricia Mytime
One of the most recognizable characters in modern-day R&B, Patricia Mytime has become the most sought after singer/ song-writer in the music industry. Her amazing, soulful voice matched with her unique style of writing and vocal arrangements sets her in a class by herself. She has been called the modern-day Aretha Franklin (who is one of her idols) and she has every intention to live up to that status.
Patricia Muldrow aka Patricia Mytime was born in Far Rockaway, NY on February 2, 1979 to Johnny & Dianne Muldrow; she is one of 13 brothers and sisters. Patricia grew up in the 40 projects of Far Rockaway, NY and attended P.S.106, I.S. 53, Springfield Gardens High School, LIBS, Berkley College and American Intercontinental University.
Patricia Mytime’s roots in gospel run extremely deep. Her father Johnny Muldrow had a recording career in R&B and gospel; singing with B.T Express, “The Brooklyn All-Stars and The Mighty Clouds of Joy” along with his very own Album that made it to the billboards in the 1950’s. As a little girl Patricia always wanted to be a singer just like her father so she started in the church, where her mother (Dianne Muldrow) was also the Elder. Growing up learning and singing gospel quartet music shows in her style of music and even in her soulful voice. At the age of 11yrs old she began writing songs. Intimidated by her father’s critique and love for gospel music. Patricia would lock herself in her room and hide in the bathroom and write complete r&b songs. She then realized that she was able to create her own style of music.
In High school she met her then group members and friends, Queen Boone and Diamond Malone. Patricia Mytime was a member of the group then called “Dejavu”. That is when her career in music made way for her. At the age of 15yrs old Patricia and her group members were introduced to Harve Pierre (President of Bad Boy Records) where they auditioned as a group for a recording contract. Harve Pierre, Nasheen Myrick and Faith Evans took interest in the group and saw something in them that was amazing. As time went on Patricia Mytime became the lead vocalist and writer for the group. Under the management of Harve Pierre and Nasheem Myrick, Patricia became a background singer for Faith Evans and made a special appearance in Notorious B.I.G’s video “Big Poppa, One more Chance & Faith Evans video You Use To Love Me”. At 18 yrs old she then landed her first placement as a writer on a platinum group’s album “SWV” song entitled “When you cry I cry” on the “Release some Tension” album produced by Toney Perez
During that time Patricia Mytime & her husband Roland Conner became pregnant with their first child and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Patricia Mytime continued to write and record at Bad Boy studios throughout her whole pregnancy. She naturally took time off from the music business to take care of her son.

Patricia is creating an Empire, with writers and several producers working with her. She is the Founder & CEO of Rebirth Sound Ent. Patricia Mytime established Rebirth Sound Ent. to give exposure to unexposed producers and song writers. Patricia wants to use her company to give back. She says “Harve Pierre & Nasheem Myrick were the people God used to help me branch out in this business, and I want to be that person for someone else.” Patricia’s goal is to bring back true r&b/soul music, with the help of some of the most talented writers and producers in the industry.
