Should Age Matter In A Relationship? Would You Date Someone Younger or Older?

Should Age Matter In A Relationship? Would You Date Someone Younger or Older?

IF TWO PEOPLE ARE ADULTS SHOULD AGE MATTER IN A RELATIONSHIP? WOULD YOU DATE SOMEONE MUCH YOUNGER OR OLDER THAN YOU?

Men usually more often date younger women than visa versa. Lately, however women have been the ones who have been seen all over town and even on the Hollywood scene dating younger men. Can this be an issue in some cases and what problems can this cause? Have we as society put too much emphasis on what is taboo and what is not? Do women really mature faster than men, and how young is too young? How important is age when it comes to marriage and having children?

This Is Our Grown, Sexy Situation...Let's talk about it

Special Musical Guest: KF Hox

Kathryn F. Hoxie, better known in the music world as KFHox, is a Bronxite by way of Rhode Island and Florida. Her musical training began when she about 10 years old in Warwick, Rhode Island by Gerry Granahan of GQ Records, where she was immersed in artists such as Karen Carpenter and Anne Murray. She continued with voice lessons and was in the choir throughout elementary school continuing on throughout her college career at Iona College, where she sang in the folk choir and the gospel choir.

During her time in Florida, she auditioned for American Idol and participated in several singing contests throughout the central Florida area. A relocation to New York was the golden opportunity for KFHox to make music in the city where her heart had always been. Raising over $5,000 in 32 days through Kickstarter, she recorded her first EP, “Light Shines Through Me,” which became available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, & Spotify in early February 2012.

KFHox is currently recording new music with artists from all over the country, including Sunni G of South Carolina. Her song, “Him or the Music,” is a response to Sunni G’s song, “Her or the Music,” which talks about the struggles of balancing life in the music industry and a love life. The song is scheduled for an online release on Valentine’s Day 2012 through Kelly Kels Promotions also of South Carolina. For information on where you can come check out KFHox, check out reverbnation.com/kathrynfhoxie or facebook.com/kfhox.

Hoxie tries to be a positive voice and role model. Everything that she does, she keeps in mind that someone is watching. It helps her make better decisions knowing that her choices will impact others.

Grown & Sexy Double Topic: Workplace Relationships and Money, Sex, Power or Love - What Attracts You? |Special Guests: Model Tana Allure, Singer Badia Farha and Cassio Ware

Thursday, 21 June 2012 17:27

Double Topic Night:

CAN YOU HANDLE A RELATIONSHIP IN THE WORKPLACE?

Work place Romances can they work? Can you mix business and pleasure and expect everyone involved in the situation to keep a cool head, or when the Boss or the person in charge holds all the cards??? Can you separate the two? What if you are married and you are put to the test, what would you do in that situation? What happens when you have an issue with your boss and he is the one your having this work affair with? Can You Handle It Maturely or Should You Never Get Involved With Someone You Work With. Lets Talk About It.

"MONEY, SEX, POWER OR LOVE-WHICH ONE REALLY ATTRACTS YOU THE MOST WHEN CHOOSING A MATE?"

Most would say women want men with money and power, then some would say men are simple and just want sex from a woman. When it comes to Money, Sex, Power or Love, what's the real honest attraction when choosing a mate, in a perfect world it should be love. If a woman says she looks for a man to have money she is called a gold digger, If a man looks to a woman for sex and money he is called a gigolo or even a pimp. Tonight on BKS1 Radio The Grown Sexy Situation Team will discuss this controversial topic with you the listeners.

My Baby Daddy......

My Baby Daddy......

My Baby Daddy....It's time to clear the air of just what this means. Is it derogatory, a term used for humor, or maybe even for endearment? No matter how you slice it the Baby Daddy always seems to get the left over, corner piece of cake that's all icing. The question is.... should he? Are today's society's father's all horrible, dead beats that have no passion to build healthy relationships with their children or are they completely misguided and misunderstood? Tonight from 11pm-1am chime in with the ladies of OWWHH as they discuss "Ya Baby Daddy...." Only on www.bks1radio.com

How Insecurity Can Ruin A Good Relationship?| Special Guests: Grammy Award Winner Howard Hewett, Legendary Alicia Myers, Plainfield Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Star Couple Rasheeda & Kirk, and The Amazing Adrienne Sykes

How Insecurity Can Ruin A Good Relationship?| Special Guests: Grammy Award Winner Howard Hewett, Legendary Alicia Myers, Plainfield Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Star Couple Rasheeda & Kirk, and The Amazing Adrienne Sykes

How Insecurity Can Ruin a Good Relationship?

Insecurity is something that we, as humans, deal with on an everyday basis on many levels. Some fears and insecurities are based on safety. We have locks on our doors to keep people out. Sometimes we put up emotional bars as well to keep people that we say we love out of our hearts and this can be viewed as insecurities as well.

But, there are a groups of individuals who suffer from a different kind of fear:

Emotional Insecurity:

A good definition that I found, via Wikipedia, for someone who is afflicted with this disorder - "Insecurity is a feeling of general unease or nervousness that may be triggered by perceiving oneself to be unloved, inadequate or worthless (whether in a rational or an irrational manner). A person who is insecure lacks confidence in their own value and capability, lacks trust in themselves or others, or has fears that a present positive state is temporary and will let them down and cause them loss or distress by "going wrong" in the future."

Men/woman can develop controlling personality types from this disorder and can cause harm and unpleasantness to their partners. But often times, it lies quiet, going on behind the scenes, not letting their partner know that they feel this way this way.

Let's explore these insecurities and see if we can put an end to them and have some meaningful, Grown, Sexy Situations!

Special Guest: HOWARD HEWETT

Among the great pure vocalists of the urban contemporary era, Howard Hewett has seldom found material worthy of his tremendous skills. He grew up in Akron, Ohio, and relocated to Los Angeles. Hewett danced on Soul Train, and became one-third of Shalamar with Jeffrey Daniel and Jody Watley in 1979. They had several big hits before Hewett departed for a solo career in 1985.

He signed with Elektra, and his second single, "I'm for Real," was a number two R&B hit in 1986. The follow-up single, "Stay," also made the Top Ten, while "I Commit to Love" in 1987 reached number 12. Hewitt remained on Elektra through the '80s and into the '90s, earning another hit with "Strange Relationshp" in 1988, and cutting duets with Dionne Warwick and Anita Baker. He's also been busy as a writer, producer, and session vocalist. Hewett co-wrote and produced "Frustration" for LaToya Jackson in 1984, and sang on her LP Heart Don't Lie. He did lead vocals on LPs by Stanley Clarke and George Duke in 1984 and 1986, a duet with Stacy Lattisaw on "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," and sang with Firefox in 1986, as well as doing backgrounds on a Donna Summer release.
