Being in a relationship is far from easy. You have to put in some work,compromise, understanding and some unconditional love needs to added. Its a shame relationships don't automatically come with trust and honesty. Sometimes partners can become insecure or not trusting of their partner. Sometimes insecurities can turn into something we don't know how to deal with well or interpret as abuse. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A JUVENILE AND ADULT CASE

Madison Jade Spearman was born September 24, 2010 and she departed this life August 15, 2011 at 11 months old.  Madison died from injuries she sustained at the hands of a 15 year old male that beat her because he grew tired of her crying. The young man that murdered Madison is about to be sentenced to 4 years in prison for Aggravated Man Slaughter.  Four years for taking the life of this baby. Madison’s family fights for a just sentence  that fits the crime.

This story raises many questions about trying juveniles as adults when they commit a serious crime.  The Live in the Vocal Booth team looks at Punishment vs Rehabilitation and when should we seek stiffer penalties for Juveniles. Debra Church, a talented singer and songwriter, is known for her soulful voice when performing in music lounges like Ashford & Simpson's "Sugar Bar" and "The Village Underground” in New York City. Born and raised in Alabama, Debra has been singing since a very young age and enjoys bringing out the powerful soul of her southern roots when she performs.  She enjoys hosting youth-inspired events whereby she merges her musical talent with the goal of educating youth on various topics going in their community and in the world.

Debra is a joint partner of Master Plan Productions with talented music producer Darin "PianoMan" Whittington. Darin has produced hits for Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton,  Britney Spears, and more. Together, they teamed up to collaborate on various musical projects and create great music to perform as well as pitch to major artists. In 2011, Debra made an appearance on the national radio syndicated talk show (1190 WLIB in Harlem, NY) "Keeping It Real" with the Rev. Al Sharpton, where she performed a tribute song about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Debra currently teaches vocal students at a private school in NY and she continues to write, record, promote, and perform her R&B soul/pop music for people all over the world.

She has walked the runway for N8KD clothing line, Dean John's fashion show, Yves Solution and was a model for Diamond Face Clothing line. Tana also showcases her freestyle choreography moves and did a 3 song live dance performance with upcoming reggaeton artist, Yoneiry at the Sky Marina Yacht in New York City. 

Tana Allure came in to the scene to not only show girls that vegan models have plenty of curves too, but to also show that you can get far by just being yourself and staying true to yourself. Badia Farha – means original creation

Everyone is jumping at the chance to know just who she is.  Badia Farha, also affectionately known as “Lady Rose,” is a new musical sensation making waves throughout the U.S.  Currently, her second CD “Still Waiting?” was released on August 11, 2009 to rave reviews.  Along with recording, she is presently segueing her talents into the realm of Musical Theatre with such shows as Sister Act- The Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, Rent, and Dreamgirls amongst many others.  Most recently, Badia Performed at Lincoln Center’s “American Songbook Concert Series” A Tribute to Alan Menken.  At this sold-out concert, Badia alongside Alan Menken, sang a beautiful Rendition of “A Whole New World.”  Badia also recently completed work of a brand new Alan Menken musical entitled “Leap of Faith.” This musical opened on Broadway in May and closed soon after.  She worked with the Oscar winning director Taylor Hackford (“Ray” starring Jamie Foxx).

Badia defined means “original creation.”  Which is exactly what she is.  She explodes on the stage, and you can’t keep your eyes off her.  Born in Newark, NJ, she began singing at the age of 2.  She is a graduate of NYU with a Masters degree in Musical Performance.  She continues to lend her talents as a background singer for major recording artists, as well as writing and producing her own music.  She is a member of ASCAP in which she publishes her music/lyrics under her own Publishing Company, along with being a member of the New York Grammy Chapter.

Newark New Jersey born Cassio James Vincent Ware II started off playing classical piano and then began freestyling on keyboards at his father's church and in club sensations with legendary DJ Naeem Johnson. He was a member of the Back Room Music Productions trio which included himself, Derrick Jenkins, and Dwayne Spen Richardson. This production company gave birth to the female diva trio JOMANDA. Cassio was also part of the group Ruffneck. He then branched off to pursue his singing career and work as a solo producer.

He teamed up with B.O.P. Productions producer Paul Scott and worked along side the garage stalwarts, Blaze. Who are responsible for his underground success in music with various hits such as, " My Baby Love", "Never Thought I See You Again", "Like Paradise", and the big hit "Funky People". Cassio has consistently developed his stage performance with the assistance of a group of producers, DJ Ruben Torro, Big Moises, Tee Alford and Allen Jeffrey, Godfather of house "Chip E.", DJ Danny Rod of Ultimate Ent., DJ Crime, DJ Dough Boy, the entire O.G. camp, dancers, singers, models, athletes and actors known as The Funky People. Now with Funky People Recordings Inc, he was responsible for the creation of "Funky People". Their debut single, aptly titled "Funky People", fused old school jazz and soul roots with crisp house beats and received the attention way beyond the ever-supportive Paul "Trouble" Anderson.

While performing and writing sketches for Ringling Bros., the great Universal Soul Circus recruited Jonathan away to join the largest specific-market circus in the world. With such broad knowledge of humor, he began to pursue the standup comedy circuit and explored entertainment television.

Jonathan Martin was featured on MTV s’ ‘Becoming’, with his on point impersonation of Busta Rymes,  starred in national commercial campaigns for the GAP clothing company and  made his acting debut on the Dave Chappelle Show.  He now performs at top comedy clubs and theaters around the world. Jonathan has toured the world with his comedy including the USA, Europe, South America, and Africa.  He has also appeared on BET’s “One Mic Stand”.

His writing, slapstick, improvisation and sketch talents make him a favorite among club owners and casting directors alike. Audiences love his quick wit and his ability to respond to any situation. I have felt hopelessness only 3 times in my life. The first time when I witnessed a family member, who raised me in my adolescence years, battle colon cancer. In excruciating pain, this once gallant, strong, independent individual began to slowly wither away. A man, who was always strong, for the first time in his life, began to speak openly about his pain. I felt helpless. A strong and vibrant 200lb independent man became a 90lb weak and frail dependent person, ultimately losing his battle with cancer.

Two years after losing my Uncle to the horrible fate that cancer renders, I learned that now my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. After chemotherapy and a host of different prescriptions, he died at home. Once again, I experienced the feelings of hopelessness.

With nowhere to turn and feeling overwhelmed, I turned to the only person that I would now call my earthly father, Reverend Dr. Michael Lee Graves. He taught me by exuding the strength in his character and the good counsel he willingly shared with me. His mentorship made me alive again. After 15 years under his covering and anointing, I gave him my usual Monday morning call. He indicated to me that he was diagnosed with colon cancer. I paused at the other end of the phone, and I had no idea what to say. I knew the security of the relationship, the fatherhood, the mentorship, the brotherhood, would soon come to an end, as my Uncle and father lives did.

Five years later after Dr. Graves passed, I stop searching for another earthly father. I began a journey to heal fathers across the country. So, after feeling I began to study the science of healing. During his declining health, I made a promise to my mentor, Dr. Graves, to finish seminary school, which I received a Doctorate of Theology. As my study increased, the depression of being absent from my father caused my weight to increase. My stomach began to hang over my belt. I went from a 32” waist to a 48” waist.

Depressed and not ready to deal with the pain of losing the father I adored, I did not attend his funeral. Really began to sink in. I began calling my mentor expecting him to answer, but the answering machine would play his recorded voice message. I found comfort in hearing his recorded voice. One day I call and the recorded message was changed with his wife’s voice. At that moment reality set in and my painful journey led me to discover my divine purpose. I am a Minister with the heart of a Doctor with a diving purpose to heal the minds, bodies and souls of GOD’s people!
